MEDIATION

Bob has provided mediation services to parties with legal disputes since 2003. His mediation background as a representative of employees, employers, and labor unions began in 1972 as a contract negotiator for Local 652 of the International Association of Firefighters while he was an active municipal firefighter. Over the many years since leaving the fire service in 1974, and subsequently becoming an attorney and California state labor agency enforcement official, Bob has actively participated in hundreds of mediation sessions in all areas of labor and employment law, both as a mediator and as a representative of parties to the dispute being mediated. Bob has extensive mediation experience in individual disputes and dozens of class, collective, and representative Labor Code Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) cases.

Bob has always been a strong proponent of all forms of alternative dispute resolution systems, having lectured internationally on all aspects of non-judicial conflict resolution.
